“Lola Summer; 2002 | Age 9”

$350.00

30” x 40” x 1” | Painted in 2025

Lola Summer represents closeness and comfort; summers with my grandma lola. Working in her garden, and feeling appreciated on the swim team. This was also the first summer I met 2 adopted Korean girls who lived next door to my grandma. For me, the tight, closed forms reflect that grounding energy I experienced - not having to wear my mask to the world.
